I wanted to go to a yoga retreat before meeting a group tour and through Trip Advisor located Veda 5, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. It was the best decision, the facility is new and immaculate, the staff was welcome and caring, treated us like family, the chef made incomparable vegan food, subtle, warm and nurturing, and the Ayurvedic doctor and treatments opened us up to a different philosophy of well being. The experience was all encompassing and doing yoga in the sunshine in January surrounded by the Himalayas with birds chirping above us was the icing on the cake. \n\nWe had a cooking lesson, fire ceremony, sitar music, and morning coffee brought to the room and we were sent back from dinner with a thermos of warm seasoned milk at bedtime to help us sleep. \n\nOn our last day, the manager didn't want us to leave without seeing the Ganges River, so he arranged for a car and driver to take us there. The facility provides free airport transfers, a very welcome bonus. You can choose what level of service you want to receive, we met a woman who just came for the peace and quiet and was very happy looking at the view. We wish Stuart, the guest manager, and the chef many long years at Veda 5 and would love to return.<\/p> <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Veda5.\n\nI enjoyed one fantastic day and night which included modern amenities and excellent customer service. \n\nI was very impressed with the quality of the Ayurvedic food and chef's passion about the experience of both cooking and eating. Next time I visit I\u2019d definitely join him for a cooking class. \n\nThe rooms are spacious and clean and are a serious departure from the standards of rishikesh. Veda5 is very detailed oriented and I found myself satisfied with its high quality offering including yoga and tea time. My wife and I stayed there for 3 days in mid July. The location is spectacular. Up in the mountains, away from the city and any noise of any kind. Extremely peaceful. They have managed excellence in so many levels. The service...kind, honest, sincere and very professional. The food....wow. Extremely satisfying. One can taste the quality of the ingredients and the unique flavour combinations are a treat for the tongue. The chef is a magician. The rooms are cozy and inviting with amazing views through large windows. The morning yoga and evening meditation sessions were fantastic. They also took us for a trek to a near by temple, through a simple village which was a sweet experience. We stayed at Veda5 retreat for 6 days and loved the place.Middle of the hills, quiet, luxurious and too good.\nwe choose Detox plan and were really happy and satisfied with the results after 6 days. They have daily yoga and meditation class, the spa therapies and ozone swimming pool.\nThe treatment done by professionals complemented by proper dosha diet plan. Just incredible. Gorgeous valley views and remarkable retreat. Initially i was worried to book 7 days detox plan but now sincerely feel even 2 weeks is too less at Veda5. The staff there is amazing, hospitable and ever smiling. The vegetarian food is outstanding, the yoga teacher and Ayurveda doctor are professionals and caring. The treatments are too good specially my favourite therapist Meena. Being a solo traveller, I have stayed in few wellness retreats in the world but believe me Veda5 deserves top ranking in terms of cost, quality of services and holistic treatments.
